Rocco Ventrella is an internationally acclaimed Italian saxophonist, composer, and producer, recognized as a key figure in the contemporary Smooth Jazz scene. Born in Bari, Italy, he began playing the saxophone at the age of twelve, developing a unique, deeply melodic sound with a rare ability to communicate straight to the listener's heart.
His career is highlighted by prestigious global accolades, including a Grammy Awards Pre-Nomination for Contemporary Jazz Best Album with his CD Give Me The Groove (produced by American producer Bruce Nazarian), and an "Artist Of The Year" nomination on Jazztrax.com which led to an invitation to perform at the celebrated Catalina Jazztrax Festival in the United States. He became a household name on global Smooth Jazz radio stations following his remarkable Tribute To Grover Washington, Jr., where his vibrant rendition of Winelight became an instant classic across international airwaves.
Rocco’s artistic journey thrives on continuous evolution, featuring recent 2026 releases such as Train Home and Choco&Vanilla. Over the years, he has shared both the stage and the studio with some of the most respected icons in the industry, including Dave Koz, Brian Culbertson, Rick Braun, Peter White, Gerald Albright, Marc Antoine and more.
